As NICEIC Approved Contractors based in Southend, Essex, we are approved to issue Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for commercial properties. We can carry out tests within or outside normal business hours and cover London, Essex, Suffolk and Kent.
EICR Stands for Electrical Installation Condition Report.
It is a compressive test of the Electrical Installation which comprises of inspection and testing.
Depending on your testing schedule, it may be that we test 100% of circuits or a smaller percentage on a more frequent basis.
With a full scope test we would test each circuit and carry out sampling of a percentage of sockets and switches, typically around 25%. Sampling forms a part of the "inspection" element of the test, the findings of which are detailed on the Schedule Of Inspections.
If you run a commercial premises it is almost certainly a condition of your insurance that you should have your wiring periodically inspected by a qualified and registered electrical contractor.
This can also form part of your obligation to the health and safety of your customers and staff.
You may also find governing bodies or professional associations insist upon regular testing.

No, however in certain instances we may need to do some of our work outside normal working hours, for example, if working for a nursery, health and safety may dictate work can't be carried out safely whilst children are present. It is understood that sometimes it is not possible to completely shut down an installation for testing and in this instance limitations on particular tests may be permitted.
